Collection: Apsara Totem

Apsara Totem founded by Asian ceramic artist Kieran, Apsara Totem draws from the spiritual beauty of Buddhist temples and Dunhuang murals. Her design language is shaped by the suspended sculptures of Xiaoxitian Temple and the majestic energy of Phoenix Mountain grottoes—where timeworn patterns, flowing lines, and ancient narratives are reborn in porcelain.

Kieran believes that traditional symbols carry timeless power. Through ceramics, she transforms this energy into a contemporary visual language that connects past and present.

Each piece is hand-painted, and fired using high-temperature underglaze techniques. The studio works exclusively with top-grade white porcelain clay—prized for its purity and jade-like translucency. This allows for subtle color layering and sculptural detail inspired by classical forms.

Architectural eaves, lotus scrolls, and robe-like folds are abstracted into clean, modern shapes. But beyond technique, what defines her work is the quiet conversation between history and handcraft—a dialogue that unfolds softly through brush, glaze, and fire.
